Chords, drums, heavy reverb, distortion, and full mixes overlap in frequency. This converter does not pretend those sources are single notes.

The page decodes your file locally, folds stereo to mono, measures repeating wave periods, maps stable pitches to MIDI note numbers, and writes their start times and lengths into a standard Type 0 MIDI file.
The export uses a fixed 120 BPM timeline so detected real-time spacing is preserved when the file plays at that tempo.

Open the result in a piano roll and check three things first: sudden octave jumps, notes joined across a breath or pause, and short extras around consonants or pick noise.
Then adjust note starts, ends, and velocity to fit the performance you actually want—not merely the waveform the detector found.
